Innovative TrafiRadar System Available Through Traffic Control Products Inc.
Feb. 4, 2013 Traffic Control Products Inc. is pleased to announce the launch of the TrafiRadar system. The device detects vehicles at the stop bar using Traficon’s proven video detection processing technology and combines Doppler radar to detect vehicles at distances up to 600 feet. The radar component is able to provide dilemma zone protection as well as standard advance detection. The single product, developed by FLIR/Traficon International, improves traffic safety and increases efficiency.

FLIR Systems Acquires Traficon, Merge Will Improve Traffic Safety Around the World
February 1, 2013 Traffic Control Products Inc., regional distributor of Traficon International video detection equipment, recently announced that the manufacturer of intelligent image processing software and traffic analysis hardware now is part of the FLIR Systems, Inc. family.
FLIR’s acquisition of Traficon in December 2012 will accelerate FLIR’s product expansion of its video-based traffic control solutions worldwide while utilizing Traficon’s distribution network. Additionally, Traficon’s superior video analytics capabilities will be integrated with FLIR’s imaging lines to offer enhanced functionality and development of new applications.
